The anti🚫-derailment🚃 & thread🧵 hijackingšŸ”« thread🧵 ⁉

That conversation came to mind when I was deciding what to put on my sandwich for dinner today. Chose garlic.

But, I agree that food shouldn’t all be sold with obligatory add-ons. Why does everything have trace amounts of bacon added in!? It’s not enough to do any good to anyone who actually wants it. The only difference between a vienna sausage and a chicken vienna sausage is that the vienna sausage has less than 2% pork added, 'cause they rubbed a pig on the can before labelling it or something. At least in their case they offer both options.

Everything should be modular so we can mix it how we want. Plain yogurt so you can add your own flavour, unsliced cheese so you can slice it how you want. That Slate truck that doesn’t come bundled with overpriced low quality features, so you can get it at a reasonable price and then add features that are actually good.

Okay so-
Healing/scar tissue question:

xG3 v2, L1, 128 days…
I was implanted from the knuckle side towards my wrist. There was not a lot of blood immediately after the install, but certainly some. A square of single ply TP would not come close to saturated, for lack of a better guess of volume. This will be important later.

About 60 days ago I noticed that there was a tiny subdermal lump maybe 3mm wide and 1mm thick/tall (based on feel using xG3 as a local measurement tool).
It is in the same ~20mm ā€œtunnelā€ that my xG3 can move in, between the scar and the implant.
It does move similar to the xG3, though maybe slightly more static.
Oh and it’s super hard. Not squishy at all. Feels like a rock (but from what I can tell, smooth).

I am wondering what has caused this. I’m assuming its not a burst blood vessel due to the lack of blood on install, though this may be a false assumption.

Any guesses?

Is it basically at the incision point where the needle went in initially?

Oh nevermind… 3mm x 1mm … it’s possible the end cap of your xG3 sheared off. Any tenderness or loss of field strength of your magnet would be a pretty good indicator of this. Perhaps it’s best to go for an X-ray if you can.

If it isn’t a piece of the implant then, is there an alternative theory as to what it could be?

I love how this is basically cyborg code.

Show that to a rando on the street and they would have no idea what the fuck you are talking about

Since you said it moves around, I don’t think there is anything else that could be. Initially I thought it might just be the body developing a kind of scar at the incision site… almost like a keloid. This could be due to skin that was trapped in the incision because of the way the needle cuts and removal of the needle did not ā€œunflapā€ the skin… but since you’re saying it moves around, there’s no way it could be this.

About 1-2 mm away from incision, towards magnet from incision.

Noted. I would expect some sort of side effects by now, no? At lets call it 61 days of it being theoretically sheared off?

Only if I press on stuff hard enough to hurt my virgin R1, or if I press on the lump pressing it against my metacarpal at half that pressure.

I do have some HSA money to burn. Guesses on cost of a hand XRay not covered by insurance? (I have insurance, but just in case)

My installer (who has not felt it themself, just talked to them over the phone) is suggesting scar tissue, and it was my thought too.

Yes, it moves around, but it is worth noting that it doesn’t seem to have the same mobility as my implant. It moves similar to my NExT that has very strong and tight encapsulation, unlike my xG3 that has a tunnel maybe 20mm long and 3mm wide. It is kind of positioned at the end of the tunnel.

It is visible here.

So i have that as well.

I thought the end cap of my XG3 sheared off, but xray showed that it is still entact. I can actually move it around. I do not know what exactly it is. i may get another xray as i feel like i can move it around.

Ah yeah ok… skin does stretch and that could be mistaken for migration. It’s probably scar tissue… probably.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think there would probably be symptoms by now if a cap came off ~60 days ago?

What’s the xG3 magnets coated in? (The gold colored layer)

Likely yes but not a guarantee. There’s a chance the magnet end is covered by med resin which would stop most bodily reaction. The glass edge is sharp but also not guaranteed to cause damage.

I will look into getting an XRay soon. I’ll update here if I am able to do it.

Update: Tentatively Sunday.

Reactions to the exposed magnet do not have to only be local. If you get an increase in systemic inflamation like unexplained muscle and/or joint pain/stiffness or psoriasis, then get it checked out asap.

The perfect tool for ā€œwhere is that noise coming from!?ā€

And now I want to buy more multimeters without an actual need for them. At this rate, I’m going to have to join a test equipment anonymous group or something… It’s clearly an addiction…

The implant inspection and re-sterilization for x-serie, does it include the injector or should I senD it with the implant?

The xsiid I recently installed already migrated into my wrist worse than the NExT … It’s gonna have to come out asap
