There is zero contradiction my friend: I could have a two-fingered hand, or a bum hand, or a deformed hand. Instead, my hand looks totally normal and works almost totally normally. You could never tell what happened to it if I don’t show you the (long faded) scars. And yes, I don’t feel much of anything in those 3 fingers, but I find it rather useful to grab things that are burning hot.
Am I not a really lucky guy?
It’s not what happens that matters, it’s the outcome. Everything in my life has always turned out to my advantage. I’m golden man.
Seriously (and yep, derailing again) this is something wonderful to say.
I bet there are things in your life that didn’t work out the way you wanted them to, and still, you realize you’re a happy person. Wish more people would do that, instead of always complaining about every little thing that went different from what they planned.
Well, no actually. Oh sure, momentarily shit happens. But like I says, somehow it always pans out for me. Better, almost each and every time, when shit happens, I come out ahead when the problem is solved. Seriously! I dunno why. But after all those years, I have to conclude it’s become a fast rule rather than an incredible series of flukes.
Either that, or like someone told me once, if you believe good stuff always happens to you, then it happens just because your subconsciously make it happen. Kind of like a self-fulfilling prophecy or something.
Whatever the case may be, I’m right where I should have ended up, and I’m doing exactly what I want in my own time.
I’m sure everyone agrees @mdanger did a phenomenal job with the packaging. So much so that a lot of us will end up keeping what is normally a throw-away item. I don’t know how often she gets on the board. Will you make a point of passing on our compliments to her?
So finally I’m joining in here and I love what I found so far in this thread.
The feeling of seeing this beautiful magnet inside of this wonderful box for the first time is hard to describe, but I’m proud being a part of this project! I’m patiently waiting to see more installation pictures or videos here soon
Funny sidenote (maybe small derail) my Titan came together with the Titan of my sister @ShaakPsi
And it came in a pretty interesting moment… with a cool but unexpected sound effect! Because in the moment when the DHL Express guy gave me the box with the Titans, two very low flying F16 jets appeared in all their glory to give the Titans a very nice “Welcome to Germany” salute! (For me normal since we live close to Ramstein Airbase and we have the training airspace “TRA Lauter” directly above our heads, but the DHL guy was VERY surprised… little bit shocked maybe too, because he’s normally not from this area… )
So I had an unforgettable experience today!
The biggest thanks to Dangerous Things, (Amal, Michelle for the awesome magnet! Can’t wait to have the first sensing moment with it!!!)
And now my own pictures from the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
And my titan has been installed and sits comfortably in my finger tip. The instal would’ve been pretty simple save for the lack of anesthesia (genetic anesthesia resistance so using injected lido is not a safe option for me and the gel doesn’t do anything.
I’m happy it’s in and can’t wait for it to be all healed up.
