That super slick
Literally couldn’t be bothered to wait for my print to finish whilst planning machine mods
Looks like 2 led segments can potentially fit, just trying to decide how to run the wires up, either inside the fan should or outside
What am I making?
Thanks for asking
Nothing really; this is barely worth the post, but sharing anyway
UNDER-BENCH BIN
I decided I wanted a little convenient bin to quickly wipe small wire scraps etc into to keep my space clean and clear on my tinker desk
I grabbed myself a cheap as fuck ander shelf fridge drawer, like this
The clips are made to fit over a glass fridge shelf and were too narrow to fit my tinkering desk
So I chopped those clips off, and wacked some double sided tape to the top side
and slapped it under my desk
Pretty dumb, but super useful
Love the bed thermometer
oh yea… I always forget I did that…
it was originally from a when I was doing some long range shooting… wanted to try to put one of those on a barrel to try to keep tabs on barrel temp for constancy… the adhesive wasn’t good enough to hold in on a heated curve… so I ulitmately got bored of messing with the idea
oh and long range ammo got FUCKING insane to buy and I couldn’t justify sending 3$ with each trigger pull…
I digress, had temp stickers… was curious if it was useful…
conclusion… taking it off is more hassle than leaving it in place… and pretty colors are pretty
I’m too afraid to do that with my printer, mine is too erratic when it comes to bed leveling and it doesn’t stay square.
Get a bl touch and some silicone levelers. Made life so much better for me
Anyone else have a Neptune 3 Pro? I’ve been getting problems trying to use Prusa Slicer instead of Cura, and I’m reaching the point where I need to swallow my pride and ask for help.
I was looking for a pasport wallet or sleeve of some sort and after not being able to find one at my local shopping mall, I decided to take a look at printables…
I’m going to need more nationalities, I’m feeling a bit naked after seeing that…
Ordered…
I have the stiffer springs already. But most of my problems are from the rollers moving around and the frame not being square. It’s a half decent machine for PLA but it sucks for anything else and the Ender 3 is far from ideal if you want precision.
In any case, I’m already building an open source printer. So I just need the Ender to work well enough to print a few more ASA parts. After that, I might sell the E3. Or leave it for PLA only but with ABL as it’s a pain without it…
the springs are meh, its honestly all about the silicone bumpers. i ran the stiff springs for a week and then upgraded to the bumpers because it made more sense. especially now that the BLtouch autolevels before every print.
I got had a few free minutes today and decided to turn the Mk4 on. Hopefully after this semester is over, I’ll have more time to zone out printing stuff again lol
Within those free minutes though, I printed a fidget clicker I found on Printables. Now I have to power to mindlessly annoy everyone around me! Muhaha >:}
Whats the name of the open source printer you are building? Or maybe a link to the website/github
I’m guessing voron or reprap
First time using ironing, not a huge fan, think I need to adjust a few things.
Also first time doing a filament swap. Worked better than I thought.
I wish my wife finds me as funny as I find me.
Definitely needs some tuning there, it can look just like it was printed on glass
Try to have a few more top layers too, it will help with the infill showing through and the roughness.
For the ender 3 bed level, I have no problem on mine, I set it and it hold for 3 to 5 Kg of prints before I need to adjust it. I did put a glass plate as the aluminum bed was a bit concave.
Can you run the BLTouch from octoprint or do you have to update the firmware?
I’m giving my ander 3 pro a new life as a klipper! So far I’ve replaced the mainboard (mks robin e3d), installed a raspberry pi webcam, and put a bltouch on it!
Excellent work. It’s crazy how much a silent board quiets up the ender 3!
