Starting to understand how it works :grin:
I made small cores with plaster of Paris and it worked amazingly well.

Easily accessible from the inside.

I considered drilling a hole in the battery cover to run the cable but the battery caddy inside had some holes on offer and acces through the rear :twss:
So it was both tidier for me to do it that way and also I can unplug and put batteries back in if I want OR desolder.

If you mean back up power, then, yeah, there is a usb backup.
(and a mechanical key)

NGL, the idea of designing and building an experimental aircraft that can break the sound barrier has been in the back of my mind for a while.

And yes the endurance of my bladder is going to drive many design decisions… :sweat_smile:

There was a guy in New Zealand who built a cruise missile DIY style years back. It kicked up some political dust, but I don’t think anybody would think twice today, seeing as how prolific drone tech has become.

Look, you register the aircraft as an experimental and don’t show politicians it’s capabilities. You have to fly under the proverbial radar, while having the transponder respond to the secondary radar…

Similar vein…

If you manufacture a silencer yourself (legally, via form 1)

The only info asked is “caliber” and “length”

Serial number you generate yourself… and there have been some memetastic user designated serials

All that to say… they don’t know if the silencer you register is… steel, aluminum, fdm printed, resin printed

Hypothetically you make it using a resin printer as an all in one…

They would have no idea at a later date, that they aluminum and k baffle silencer, isn’t what the paper work is for, as long as it’s the same overall length… and the hole as at least big enough for the specified cartridge… nobody said you can’t make the bore extra forgiving lol

I don’t want to come out too definitively on this one, cause I just ain’t got the facts at my fingertips to back me up, but I think that was kinda the point. Build it, flaunt it, prove a point.

My point, and the reason I brought this up, is that was off the shelf tech from 20 years ago. 20 YEARS. Today, Now, DIY super sonic flight should be very achievable, and somewhat affordable to a reasonably self starting tech oriented enthusiast.

Spiral vase mode (for anybody that doesn’t know) is a single-wall continuous print.

That feels a bit slow but I suspect that you’re running a higher than normal wall thickness as it’s often done with spiral prints.

You know full well that I meant something very different when I said that I wanted to be magnetic…

They fit 30mm button batteries

I ordered the wrong ones.




Just modeled and printed this stand to hold my dock and laptop out of the way. It turned out better than I expected. Used 800g of filament at 15% gyroid tho.
