I love doing new wiring. Assuming I’m left to do it at my own pace. I’d say it’s only second to soldering for zen-ness.
Anywho, setup software tomorrow and start playing with stuff that I can’t piddle with in class. (no time)

I took an xbox one controller under-desk mount from an STL site (forget which) and had to mod to put screw mount holes in the sensible place (middle section) and had to modify for the xbox 360 controller which has very offset thumbsticks and the d-pad protrudes quite a lot… it worked well enough…
But the only problem I have is trying to line up the thumbsticks to slide it into the mount is a pain in the ass. I’d love it if there was a good / stylish way to flare the ends but my tinkercad experience / skill is quite shit… so I’m hoping someone here could mod this to add some flaring to make sliding the controller into the slots a piece of cake;
Here is my already Frankenstein’d STL;
Cool Habbi.stl (201.4 KB)
Maybe.stl (215.5 KB)
I’ll tinker when I get home
I made a new 3D printed tool for work today and then left it on my couch before going in ![]()
Part Studio 1(10).stl (280.0 KB)
damn, just beat me
Yours is much closer to as-ordered ![]()
A couple alternatives jic
Reverse, but less stick abuse
Was flipping through youtube, and came across a video explaining tensegrity structures. Spent 2 hours designing a 3D model of a coffee table based on that, made from 1.5 inch square tubing.
See? This is why I never get anything done.
I bet thingiverse has a printable one.
{hustles off to check}
Like a hundred
The last two days I’ve been 3D printing nothing but spaghetti. So annoying.
Have you tried turning it off and back on?
My brain? Hmmm… should try that
That’s called sleep, and it works wonders, especially considering it’s, what, 11:30 pm where you are?
Ahhh that’s where “you” end and a new “you” begins some time in the future? Not a fan.
What plate?
Have you done a relevel sequence?
Clean your plate with dawn and maybe some iso
Check your filament dryness and settings…
Additionally make sure there isn’t any weirdness on your first layer… like missing sections of first layer and then air printing second layer… happens sometimes due to elephants foot compensation reducing a wall to sub 1 line width and then “skipping it”
yeah was trying to print PC and I think it wasn’t dry enough even after 2 days in the drier… next time I will use the vacuum oven. after switching to petg the textured plate was just not having it so i swapped for another seemingly identical textured plate and now finally things are printing.
the bambu x1c autolevels basically ever time so at least that’s not something i need to also check when things go off the rails.
