Install Videos and Pictures 🩸

All the x-series have lube on the needle already. It’s called Dow Corning medical fluid. The large custom needle for flex installation doesn’t but those products come with a sachet of surgical lube.

That’s why I didn’t see much of a difference when I tried on my last x-

Is there any scalpel shape that works better than others for us?
I’ll have to remove an x- soon (I can video it if there is interest)

For x-series I really recommend trying the saline injection method. Basically a doc injects saline USP into the encapsulation pocket with the implant. Then basically they inflate it, remove the needle, and kind of push it out with the saline like a pimple.

Another great job by JR (Mean Street Tattoos)!

Seriously gonna make an example install video out of that. Perfectly done. Perfectly filmed. Perfect.

Ha, I’m late to the party, But, I was going to say, I think that was the smoothest flex install I have seen.

Worth it

flexUG4 in L-P3, I would’ve liked something to numb it but honestly, it’s not that bad for anyone thinking about getting a flex install

*low quality video for upload and crop to hide the installer

Oh hey! Same place as me, though Candace did mine!

Candace Clark at Bound By Design in Denver. She was AWESOME, even if the install itself was kinda tough.

E: Yes, I know now that metal tools aren’t good for implants.

That’s awesome. She was shadowing Patrick when he did mine. Lol, quick study I guess.

It’s great that there are now multiple people in Colorado who can do flex and scalpel installs.

You know when someone is a cyborg because they say that that’s a tiny needle…

I’ve been keeping a log of my flexEM install’s incision healing.
@amal did the install and tried out using surgical staples to close the incision.
@tac0s made a nice edit summarizing the healing progress

Thanks guys! And thanks to @hoker For providing the stapes

Got my first implant (xMagic) installed last Wednesday!

Here it is two days after the install (Friday)

Couldn’t resist and cloned a fob onto it with my Flipper Zero right after installing, before I even got off the chair.
There’s a bunch of people in the background watching as it was the first time the piercing place I went to was doing something like this

(also, was expecting chlorhexidine wipes and an injector with a security pin that needed to be removed, but instead the wipes were isopropyl alcohol (iirc), and the big yellow injector came with no pin to remove. oh, and they thought the included bandaid was comically huge and gave me some smaller ones.)
