In the spirit of @Pilgrimsmaster little customwork implant guessing game i was wondering if anyone wanted to guess my newest project. I will give a bit more to go on though:
13.56mhz powered flashlight?
nope, not quite
Ohh an active repeater?
getting a bit warmer…
13.56MHz powered heater?
13.56MHz powered hot plate?
13.56MHz powered pancake griddle?
i kinda like that hotplate idea.
An actual repeater? Like one detector over a NFC reader and another one you can place else where? Like a tin-can phone kinda deal?
That’s a kinda cool concept. Like a Lora based NFC repeater. Way outside my capabilities though.
Ill give another hint. Xsiid users would find great interest in this.
Is this a battery-powered field generator?
You win!
Powered by a Cr2032, its a compact field generator.
For those that want to build one at home you can use one of my v2.1s repeaters as the antenna.
You could crosspost in the power accessories community project thread too.
Will do, I forgot about that thread!!
Also I’m not sure about that circuit. Where did you get it?
It’s adapted from the overunity forums I found a few months ago. I breadboarded it and it works surprisingly well. So I’m gonna try to do it with all surface mount components
The main change was using the actual inductor and adding the active ground rather than the passive ground. Dr. Stiffler used a passive ground with an open wound antenna coil.
Would be cool to also allow the antenna PCB section to snap off and instead wire up a copper coil. Thinking about a project where a coil would be worn like a crown…and no it’s not for “serb”
I have a few ideas for this circuit I could make the antenna breakaway and add test points so someone could solder their own in. That’s easy.
Here is the actual circuit in raw form. Not seen is a 60pf capacitor on the back end of the antenna.
The antenna is just a test point build of my V2.1s repeater/field detector.
Range is decent at 3v. This circuit can be powered continuously for about 28hrs off of one CR2032
To try to ensure the battery isn’t drained I’m going to make it a momentary switch rather than a toggle
I’m going to work on filling out the bom for this to switch it to all smd components and get the placements for each component figured out as I clean up the circuit. Hope to get something in hand by mid September.
Fabrication house has the first iteration of the generator design.
I have a couple versions of this first iteration. They should be in my hands in a couple weeks and i can continue testing.
note: This is going to be a small batch. Those that have reached out about this project if you are interested in getting your hands on these, as long as my testing is successful with these, and Amal’s tests are successful i wont have any issues selling the pre-production versions. But i want to ensure they are Implant safe first and foremost. Last thing i want is to fry something.
