Quick question for you all. I’m interested in getting one of the NExT tags for a sort of nice little quality-of-life improvement and novelty. I have a flipper zero that I’m assuming I can use for low-frequency programming, but for HF do I provide the information to the company to be programmed in, and it will arrive pre-programmed? Will it ask me for it at checkout?
The HF side is usually programmed with a smartphone
Ahhh I see. Are there only specific smartphones with this capability, or is it any nfc-capable smartphone?
Pretty much any NFC phone will do it, with varying levels of ease
Check this out:
Appreciate it
Looking forward to starting this journey
It might be a good idea to find non-implant tags/cards with similar chips to the implants you are considering (the Card Pack sold by DT covers many of the options) to experiment with. In the case of NFC, you’ll also get the opportunity to try out the phone that you’re planning to use to read and write them.
Great choice for a first implant: instant gratification with the phone-writable HF side (vcards, web links, some access systems etc) with the possibility to go into greater depth (access systems, proxmark, CLI etc) with the LF side.
