Sorry to be a pest again
I’m looking to buy an Android phone. I have 2 iPhones but want an Android phone just to use on the 2 x Apex Flex’s I have installed.
This is the only purpose this phone will be used for so trying not to spend too much if I don’t need to.
Just want a cheap phone with good NFC capabilities that will read the Apex Flex’s.
I have looked through the links in the forums but most of the phones are now superseded.
Does anyone know of a new cheap Android phone that works with the Apex Flex’s.
I was in the same boat. Picked up a Pixel 3 from ebay
Can you go into a store and just try some?
But as @Aoxhwjfoavdlhsvfpzha mentioned, a 2nd hand option of a known good phone would be perfect for your solution for you
I have a Pixel 3 with a cracked (but fully functional) screen that I got off eBay. It’s been invaluable for those times that I need an android phone for some reason.
My 2 cents, buy a refurbished google nexus or pixel. I find they even work well with mifare tags and using the acr122 reader using otg.
Ended up buying a new Samsung Galaxy A23 5G which works a treat.
Had to make sure it was the 5G version as the plain A23 doesn’t come with NFC.
